DEMONSTRATION GARDEN

Beginning in 2012, in cooperation with the University of Kentucky, the Lyon County Master Gardeners created a Demonstration Garden.  All work was done under the guidance and supervision of
Lyon County Extension Agent, Susan Fox. The Demonstration Garden is designed, planted, and maintained by dedicated Master Gardener volunteers.

A variety of vegetables and flowers have been grown over the past couple of years using the latest techniques in horticulture.  There are also fruit trees that are used to demonstrate proper pruning practices.  The garden's purpose is to educate the people of Lyon County in new as well as tried-and-true methods of horticulture.

Items from the garden are donated to the Lyon County Food Bank.
